2021 Birgit Eichinger, Grüner Veltliner Gaisberg




The 2021 Birgit Eichinger Grüner Veltliner Gaisberg is an outstanding dry white wine that showcases the remarkable quality of Kamptal.

This Grüner Veltliner is hand-harvested from the prestigious Gaisberg Erste Lage Kamptal DAC vineyard, known for its expressive fruit notes and distinct character.

With the 2021 vintage, Eichinger has captured the essence of this terroir, offering a wine that is vibrant, refreshing, and full of finesse.

With a platinum yellow gold colour in the glass, this wine has aromas of citrus, green apple, white pepper and faint hints of fern accompanied by a lively acidity and a mineral-driven palate.

Best enjoyed well chilled at a temperature between 8 - 10°C. This Grüner Veltliner pairs perfectly with soft Austrian cheeses, pork or braised chicken.

Raised in large casks of oak from local forests, and aged on the fine lees for 10 months, this wine feels rich and expansive. 

With aromas of ripe pear, white flowers, and a hint of spice on the palette it develops a harmonious balance of vibrant acidity, juicy fruit flavours, and a lingering finish.
This wine pairs well with vegetarian dishes, goat cheeses and pork.
